Greetings Esteemed Delegates and Advisors,
Welcome to the Long Beach Intercollegiate MUN Conference. My name is James Dinwiddie, and I am the Secretary General of LBIMUN and the Secretary General of the Cal State Long Beach Intercollegiate Model United Nations Team. I am thrilled to invite you and your MUN colleagues to the third installment of the best one-day training conference in the Southern California region. The LBIMUN Secretariat has worked tirelessly to expand and improve the total conference experience from its humble beginnings three years ago. LBIMUN will continue to promote an environmental awareness by “conferencing green.” With sustainability in mind, please bring your laptops and flash drives and let’s try to save some trees and reduce our carbon footprint.
This 3nd LBIMUN Conference will be held on March 1, 2014 amid the trees on the beautiful campus of California State University, Long Beach, California. Located just minutes from one of the world’s largest international trade hubs, the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, this conference gets its bearings from the expanding Pacific Rim. Our focus for the LBIMUN Conference is to provide the best preparation and training for the larger multi-day conferences coming up such as the NMUN in New York, LAMUN in Los Angeles, and the MUN of the Far West in San Francisco. We will be offering a variety of committees, designed to accommodate all levels of experience and academic interest.
I look forward to meeting you all and I wish you the best of luck in all of your MUN adventures in the 2013-14 academic year.
If your delegation is interested in attending the 3rd LBIMUN Conference, or if you have any questions, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
